Hundreds pack Capitol for Day of Action

Yesterday’s Day of Action driven by the Missouri Medicaid Coalition showed how powerful the movement is for Medicaid expansion. Faith leaders, health care providers, and people in the coverage gap joined with hundreds of advocates at the Capitol to urge the legislature to have the debate and expand Medicaid.

Take a look at some of the photos and videos from the day:

Highlights from the Day of Action.

Missourians packed the halls of the Capitol urging Legislator’s to do their job, have the debate, and expand Medicaid. This powerful action included marching around the 3rd floor and eventually circling the Senate chamber whiles activists prayed and sang songs urging the legislature to expand Medicaid.

This action was truly a collaborative effort which was led my Missouri Faith Voices and many coalition organizations including; Clergy Coalition, Communities Creating Opportunity, Jobs with Justice, Metropolitan Congregations United, Missouri Health Care for All, Missouri Pro-Vote, Missouri Rural Crisis Center, Progress Missouri, SEIU, and many others. Thank you to everyone who participated, recruited or helped plan this action!

Stay tuned for more coverage and for upcoming events!
